EVENTS/ACTIVITIES:
Are the member activities and events mandatory?
Not all activities are mandatory, but we hope you'll attend as many as you can. Just
like in a public or private school, events are intended to promote connection and fun with others. You'll eventually graduate with people you know, not strangers!

When are the mandatory meetings?
We have mandatory meetings throughout the year:

Senior/Parent Graduation meeting:
-One parent and graduate are required to attend in order to participate
Sat, November 08, 2025, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM OR
Mon, November 17, 2025, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

How many member activities will there be?
Events for members are scheduled monthly from August through July. Extra events may be added throughout the year with as much notice as possible. Visit our Events page for calendars.

Are planned events/activities an extra cost?
There is no cost to attend any mandatory events/activities. Other activities may
cost extra, but we try to keep out-of-pocket costs very low by taking advantage of group prices and special deals. All costs will be posted at the time an event is announced. CONNECT is always a no-cost event.

Can I bring a friend or date to any of the events?
Except for homecoming and prom, all activities and events are for members only
(unless we specifically say the event is open to non-members in the event info).

You will receive a keepsake diploma - CAP IT Tampa is NOT a certified school with the state of Florida and has no power to officially grant a diploma of graduation. If a school would like to see your diploma, they will likely be fine with the one you get from CAP IT. But usually they just want your transcript.
