What is the cost to join CAP IT Tampa? 
Seniors: $150 (What's included: Seniors) plus
Graduation: members $190 (What's included: Seniors); $215 for non-members
Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors: $150
(What's included:  Underclassmen)
MIDDLE: $140
(What's included: MIDDLE)

Is CAP IT a direct provider for SUFS or other scholarships? 
No, but you can submit to them for reimbursement and you should not have an issue. We need to provide an invoice with the student's first and last name on it, so please email us with your request and that information so we can send it to you. info@capittampa.com

Membership Handbook
CAP IT Tampa has a membership handbook that is agreed to at registration each year. Both students and parents will be required to review it and be familiar with it's contents. To review: 2026-2027 CAP IT Handbook

Does CAP IT have a dress code? Yes, you can view it HERE.

Do I have to sign a medical release and waiver?
Yes, anyone participating in CAP IT events is required to sign multiple waivers at the time of registration.

EVENTS/ACTIVITIES:
Are the member activities and events mandatory?
Not all activities are mandatory, but we hope you'll attend as many as you can. Just like in a public or private school, events are intended to promote connection and fun with others. You'll eventually graduate with people you know, not strangers!

When are the mandatory meetings? 
We have mandatory meetings throughout the year:
All-member meeting: Coming soon
Senior/Parent Graduation meeting:
-One parent and graduate are required to attend a meeting in order to participate.Sat, October 24, 2026, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM OR
Mon, November 09, 2026, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

How many member activities will there be?
Events for members are scheduled monthly from August through July. Extra events may be added throughout the year with as much notice as possible. Visit our Events page for calendars.


Are planned events/activities an extra cost?
There is no cost to attend any mandatory events/activities. Other activities may
cost extra, but we try to keep out-of-pocket costs very low by taking advantage of group prices and special deals. All costs will be posted at the time an event is announced. CONNECT is always a no-cost event.

Can I bring a friend or date to any of the events?
Except for homecoming and prom, all activities and events are for members only
(unless we specifically say the event is open to non-members in the event info). 

CAP IT Tampa welcomes the following visitors to ONE member event:

  • A homeschooled student within the age range of the event group that they are attending

  • Families interested in visiting CAP IT Tampa to potentially become a member

If interested in visiting CAP IT Tampa, please have them email us at info@capittampa.com or text us at 813-474-9510. ALL visitors must complete a CAP IT Tampa liability waiver prior to participation.

Does CAP IT have a yearbook? 
We have a yearbook for purchase every spring. The 2026 yearbooks have been ordered and will be ready for pick up July 17 during Connect. Digital version with an epub reader app: coming soon

CAP IT Tampa co-chairs are volunteer veteran homeschool moms Jennifer Sack and Kylie Brewer. It is their desire to work with our community to provide resources, events, and graduation for homeschool families in Tampa Bay.
