  2. Participate in events all year and NOT walk in graduation ($150 membership fee)

When will the 2027 graduation ceremony take place?
Graduation 2027 is TBD. Venues often don't let us book more than six months in advance, but we generally have the date sooner than that. We always aim for the 3rd weekend in May, but that can change.
Mandatory student rehearsal will be scheduled after we have our graduation date.

When will the rehearsal and graduation schedule/timeline be available?
We will review the graduation schedule at our MANDATORY Senior/Senior Parent meetings, then it will be posted under the Seniors tab. If we have the details sooner, we will post them.

When is the last day I can register for graduation?
Registration is from November 15, 2026 - February 15, 2027. After February 15, we will accept graduates through March 15 if we can accommodate you. A $30 late fee will apply. After March 15, please email us to see if it's possible.

How much does graduation cost?
During dates listed above, the cost for members to participate in graduation is $190. See what's included here: Costs. This fee
is in addition to your membership fee of $150 (IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER). For non-members, the graduation fee is $215.

Do I have to pay it all up front?
Payment for graduation will be made at the time you register for graduation. Payment plans are available upon request. Registration is anytime between November 15, 2026 - February 15, 2027, or during late registration (February 16-March 15).

What if I need to cancel being a part of graduation?
If you need to cancel, you will get a full refund of any monies paid (minus membership fee) if CAP IT is notified prior to March 1 of your graduation year. If you cancel between March 1 and April 1, you will receive $100 refund. After April 1, no refund.

Does CAP IT Tampa give graduates a diploma?
You will receive a keepsake diploma - CAP IT Tampa is NOT a certified school with the state of Florida and has no power to officially grant a diploma of graduation. It is the responsibility of the student's parents or umbrella school to determine eligibility for graduation and to certify the high school education. If a school would like to see your diploma, they will likely be fine with the one you get from CAP IT. But usually they just want your transcript.

How many guests can I have at graduation? Are tickets needed?
There is no limit to how many guests you can bring and no tickets are required.

Is there a dress code for the ceremony?
Yes: Graduation Dress Code

Is there a maximum number of graduates for the ceremony?
There is no limit to how many homeschool students can graduate.

Am I responsible for buying a cap and gown and tassel? YES!
